With effect from 04 January 2016 the consulting company Towers Watson and the broker Willis have joined forces. The newly incorporated company operates under the name Willis Towers Watson and employs 39,000 persons in 120 countries. BLD partner Dr. Joachim Grote and associate Sabine Harazim, LL.M. were assigned to advise on German insurance supervision law issues.

For BLD this assignment was one of several assignments in the course of M&A transactions in 2015. Here, our advice is focused on compliance with insurance supervision law requirements pursuant to the German Insurance Supervision Act as well as all specifications given by the laws on insurance contracts.
