As reported in a press release, the German Insurance Association (GDV) has elected its new committee in its general meeting as of 14. November 2012.

Successor of the last GDV president Rolf-Peter Hoenen, whose term ended after a four-year-period, has become Dr. Alexander Erdland, chairman of the Board of Directors, Wüstenrot & Württembergische AG, Stuttgart.

Further new members of the committee are:
• Dr. Thomas Buberl, chairman of the Board of Directors, AXA Konzern AG, Köln
• Dr. Markus Faulhaber, chairman of the Board of Directors, Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG, Stuttgart
• Thomas Flemming, chairman of the Board of Directors, Mecklenburgische Versicherungs-Gesellschaft a. G., Hannover
• Ulrich-Bernd Wolff von der Sahl, chairman of the Board of Directors, SV SparkassenVersicherung Holding AG, Stuttgart
• Dr. Wolfgang Weiler, spokesman of the Board of Directors, HUK-COBURG Versicherungsgruppe, Coburg.
