Dr Jendrik Böhmer, LLM, is a lawyer and partner in the Industrial Liability and Construction Liability departments at the Cologne office. He is a Specialist Insurance Lawyer and primarily advises on construction and product liability cases – all thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the industry as well as his experience in international and cross-border cases, especially those involving construction products and planning claims. In recent years, he has, among other things, established close links with the insurance industry, for instance in the context of mandates for claims monitoring of construction project policies. Dr Jendrik Böhmer also specialises in handling liability issues arising from software defects, failures relating to the implementation of IT projects and other defective IT services (Tech E&O). In addition to his legal expertise, he also possesses the necessary technical understanding in this specialist area, which not only makes him a valued advisor in the area of construction, product and IT liability, but also in liability issues relating to the BLD Future Workshop, such as autonomous driving or the use of drones. Apart from litigation, he also provides ongoing consultation concerning the development of new insurance products.
