Prof. Dr. Thorsten Süß

Dr Thorsten Süß is Of Counsel at the Cologne office. He has been with BLD as a lawyer since 2016 and as a partner since 2022. As an expert in medical and hospital liability, he has worked for our clients throughout Germany and, together with BLD partner Marcel Hohagen, has also headed the “State and Public Liability” advisory team. Since January 2026, he has been a professor of commercial and insurance law at the Technical University of Cologne and continues to work at BLD in his role as Of Counsel as an expert in the field of medical liability.
