Dr Thorsten Süß is Of Counsel at the Cologne office. He had been working as a lawyer at BLD since 2016, becoming a partner from 2022 to 2025. As an expert in medical and hospital liability, he has worked for our clients throughout Germany and, together with BLD partner Marcel Hohagen, has also headed the “State and Public Liability” advisory team. Since January 2026, he has been a professor of commercial and insurance law at the Technical University of Cologne and continues to work at BLD in his role as Of Counsel as an expert in the field of medical liability.
