Ulrich Ruchatz is a partner in the Financial Lines department at the Cologne office. He is a Specialist Commercial and Company Lawyer as well as a Specialist Bank and Capital Market Lawyer. He specialises in D&O insurance/liability, especially concerning corporate law issues and in the area of financial services. In highly complex cases with different stakeholders, our clients appreciate his forward-looking approach, which always takes economic risks into account. Due to his long-standing cooperation with various D&O insurers, Ulrich Ruchatz is familiar with the requirements and internal procedures of companies, enabling him to provide targeted support in reporting, risk assessment and other internal procedures. In the recent past, his work included advising a major German D&O insurer in connection with an international corruption scandal in plant construction, and an international insurance consortium on the banking, insolvency and insurance matters concerned with the insolvency of an international bank.
