Dr. Jens Muschner

Dr Jens Muschner is a lawyer and partner who also serves as head of the Berlin office, where he is a member of the Disability and Accident, Medical Malpractice and Property, Marine and Transport departments. Together with his colleague Dr Udo Abel from the Cologne office, he leads the firm’s Accident Insurance department. He represents our clients in litigation on insurance contract disputes in accident insurance, property insurance, health as well as travel health insurance, travel insurance and occupational disability insurance. In liability defence, he is active in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice. Dr Jens Muschner is a co-author of leading commentaries on the German Insurance Contract Act (VVG) and, as a recognised expert in insurance and liability law, has an outstanding understanding of medical, technical and business contexts. Currently, Dr Jens Muschner is conducting numerous lawsuits on premium adjustments in health insurance and on the defence of claims against business interruption insurance in the wake of Covid-related official closure orders.
