Eva Schönherr

Eva Schönherr is a lawyer and specialist in insurance law in the Life & Regulatory department at the Cologne office. One of her main areas of expertise includes representing our clients in court throughout Germany in matters relating to life insurance. In doing so, she has focused in particular on issues related to insolvency and enforcement law that are relevant to personal insurance, and in addition to handling a large number of cases, she regularly conducts training courses on this subject. Furthermore, she represents and advises clients on all matters relating to occupational retirement provisions, including reinsurance policies and reinsured support funds. Her other areas of expertise include defending insurers and pension providers against allegations of inadequate advice in connection with the payment of endowment and death benefits, and handling representative actions, e.g. for the rescission of life insurance contracts.
